Dear Parent/Guardian(s), & Community Members of Marie L. Greenwood,
I continue to wish everyone safety during this very difficult, and uncertain time. I know that the situation that we are currently experiencing is hectic for everyone, and has changed our lives in a drastic fashion. On a positive note, the time that we have together at home allows us to rekindle as families.
I am writing to alert you of the latest updates in regard to the start of the upcoming school year.
As you may be aware, the start of the school year and its format has been changed. Please continue to reference our website for the latest information as it becomes available.
Important Dates (Revised):
Based on the latest guidance from the Health Department, we will be offering support for registration over the phone only at this time. It is highly important that all families fill out the Annual Family Update to register your child. Families will have options to register for in-person learning for the first semester or 100% remote learning for the first semester.
The 100% remote learning option for the first semester will be supported by a mixture of staff from other schools rather than support from MLG staff. Marie L. Greenwood staff will support the in-person option for learning after the initial two weeks of remote learning.
Registration (Updated Information)
Our front office staff will officially begin answering calls remotely beginning on Tuesday, July 28. We know many of you have many questions that we look forward to answering! Please note that we will not be able to support families’ in-person due to guidance of the Colorado Health Department. However, we are more than willing to support you over the phone to complete registration for the upcoming school year. This school year, we will not be offering in-person registration. However, the online portion of registration is active. We ask that you begin to completed registration online as soon as possible so we can begin to prepare for a safe return to learning.
Learning Platforms (August 17 – 24)
For our launch to the school year, we will utilize two platforms for learning. The Seesaw platform will be used for K-5 MLG Students. The Schoology Platform will be used for 6-8 students. MLG staff will begin reaching out to speak with you about getting logged into these platforms the week of August 17 – 24. Again, at this time it’s pertinent that you register online so we can begin to prepare for the upcoming school year.
